Electronic or Digital Signing as a Notary

Worldwide, there is a progressive move toward electronic transactions and document execution to enhance efficiency and service for clients.

I am the first Notary in New Zealand equipped to perform secure electronic notarisation (E-Notarisation) of notarial acts and instruments.

My digital certificate provides electronically signed and sealed documents ready for dispatch by email anywhere in the world. While various methods exist to sign electronically, only technology utilizing recognized cryptographic standards satisfies relevant legal requirements. My digital signature service fully complies with and exceeds these standards.

This process is not only environmentally sustainable, but also substantially faster and more cost-effective than physical document dispatch by courier.

Authentication or Legalisation

This secondary step is sometimes required by overseas recipients, whereby my signature and seal are verified by the Authentication Unit of the Department of Internal Affairs in Wellington.

Apostille Certificate

Apostille certificates can be completed electronically in conjunction with my digital certificate and are recognized by all member countries of the Hague Apostille Convention.

Authentication

Issued by the Authentication Unit in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT).

Traditional authentication cannot currently be completed in electronic form.
